Dear Elon Musk,
I have always been interested in driving an EV from Tesla since the day I saw my brother Jürgen Miegel driving his Tesla Model X and being very pleased with it.
So, in Dec 2020 I decided to replace my VW Toureg with a Tesla Model X, which I finally ordered in Jan 2021. I was intrigued by their ability to cover long distances, their short charging times, and the accessibility of the Supercharger network within Germany. In my role as a broker for special properties - including castles (www.iim.de/schloss) - I cover around 40,000 kilometers each year for business purposes. Therefore, these features are of great importance for me. Tesla is far ahead of its competitors in this respect – Congratulations!
BUT…... I've been waiting for my Tesla Model X patiently for a while now!!
I was initially promised that the Tesla Model X will be delivered by March 2021. Then they moved my window up to ‘summer’. As soon as that window arrived, they pushed it back a couple months to autumn, then to winter. Now we were called, that Tesla has no more a delivery date for our Tesla Model X.
That being the case, I asked the sales representative to give me a safe delivery date and to and to help me with a Tesla Model Y (as a loaner), until the delivery of my Tesla Model X. Your sales rep told me, that they have no idea about the delivery situation and that they cannot support me with a Tesla Model Y.
So after more than a year they still can't give me a date?
With all due understanding of supply chain issues and anything else that might cause the delay, but this is simply no good customer service of the German management. Especially as a tesla enthusiast this is very annoying! You build excellent vehicles, but your sales stuff is supposed to be in the position to help customers with a short-time solution. I can't believe such a thing is possible.
Dear Elon Musk, you are probably not aware of this specific situation in Germany. For this reason, I have decided to write you this open letter in the hope that a responsible person in the United States will see my complaint and help me to get my Tesla X.
